What's changed with private invitations?

Anyone on your company's E1 account can now open, quote on, and manage private invitations (excluding defence projects) sent to any teammate. Before, only the person the builder invited could action them. Everyone else on the team saw them as read-only.

Who can access my team's private invitations?

Every user on your company's E1 account, on both free and paid plans.

Does this cost extra?

No. It works the same on free and paid accounts.

Are there any private invitations I still can't open?

Yes. Defence project invitations stay restricted to the person the builder invited. Ask that teammate to action it, or ask the builder to invite you directly.

How do I give a colleague access to our team's invitations?

Add them as a user on your company's E1 account. Once they're on the account, they can access every private invitation sent to your team, except defence projects. [Link: How to add a user to your account]

My colleague has their own separate E1 account. Can they see our invitations?

No. Access only covers users on the same company account. Add them as a user on your company's account instead.

Do I still need to share private invitations with my team?

No. Everyone on your account can access them automatically.

Finding and actioning invitations

Where do I find invitations sent to my teammates?

On the Leads page. The team member filter at the top is set to your name by default, so you'll only see your own invitations. Clear the filter so no team members are selected, and you'll see invitations for everyone on your account.

Can I see one colleague's invitations only?

Yes. Select just their name in the team member filter.

What can I do on a teammate's invitation?

Everything you can do on your own. You can open the invitation, download documents and packages, update the quote status, and view or revise the quote.

I can't see an invitation my colleague received. What do I do?

Work through these checks:

  • Make sure the team member filter on the Leads page is cleared.
  • Check whether it's a defence project. These stay restricted to the person invited.
  • Check your colleague is on the same E1 account as you.

Do I need to tell my colleague I'm working on their invitation?

E1 records that you acted on their behalf, and the builder sees this too. It's still worth a quick heads-up so you don't double up on the same quote.
