How to cancel your E1 subscription

We get it, sometimes you need a break.

First, the good news: you're not leaving E1

Cancelling a paid subscription on E1 doesn't close your account. It downgrades you to a free account, with some restrictions on visibility. Your tender history, contacts, and company profile all stay put.

You can upgrade back to a paid subscription anytime, no need to start over.

How to cancel your paid subscription

  1. Head to Settings → Licences.
  1. Find your subscription line.
  1. Select Cancel.
  1. Click the three dots on that line.

Heads up

Two separate things affect what you'll see here:

  • The Licenses tab — only Admins can see it. If you're not an Admin, you'll need to ask yours to cancel for you, you can check the Team tab to see who has Administrator level access on your account.
  • The three dots inside the tab — won't show if your account is overdue or you are on a free plan. To self-serve a cancellation, you'll need to settle the balance first, or get in touch if you're on a free plan.

What happens after you cancel

Your account stays open on the free tier

You won't lose your account or your history. You'll move to a free account, which has limited visibility on tenders and other features.

Your data stays safe

Your tender history, company profile, and accessed documents remain in your account.

Coming back is easy

When you're ready to pick up paid features again, just upgrade your subscription from within your account, you won’t need to set up from scratch.

How cancellation timing works

Your subscription runs for the minimum term you signed up to (monthly or yearly), and cancellation terms apply. Please refer to our terms and conditions to check the details relevant to you.

Closing/deleting your account

Closing or deleting your free account is different from cancelling a paid subscription, and our support team will need to action this for you.

It’s important to note that account closure/deletion is permanent and removes everything; your tender history, profile, and contacts. We only do this on explicit request, and once it's done, the account can't be restored, a new one will need to be created and historical activity will be lost.
